The Strawberry Hill Neighborhood Association is having its second open meeting at the Tully Center at the end of this month. Along with some general business, our guest speaker will be:
At the Tully Center
Mr. Stackpole will present an overview of how real estate assessments are conducted by the city and how your final real estate taxes are determined.
Now is a particularly appropriate time to be informed about this process. By state law, every five years towns must re-assess their properties. This is going on now for Stamford, and in July the latest assessments will be used to arrive at the new taxes.
More information on the process can be found on the city’s website.
Also at this meeting representatives of Stamford Hospital will make a short presentation about the proposed new parking garage to be at the northwest corner of the Tully Center. That area is now the surface lot by the steep part of 3rd Street.
Lastly, we’d like to hear from you. Hear about things happening, or not, on Strawberry Hill and throughout the city that affect all of our daily lives.
So come to the meeting. Learn what’s going on. All are welcome. Bring a friend.
